Chapter 1 of 97 Things Every Programmer Should Know is “Act with Prudence.”

While it seems impenetrable at first, it’s basically saying “do some planning before you execute your project.” It’s also saying that cutting corners now may mean bigger problems down the road. This is a message that librarians and other professionals can take to heart.
